Okay, here we go. Law school has been an absolute blast. We'll start with Orientation first.
Went well, but didnt meet anybody in my section (they divide the class into 2 and you have all your classes with the same crew, kind of like middle school all over), but met one guy john who i get along with great, we chill between classes and all that, so it went well, especially considering it was 8 hours a day all week.
The thursday of orientation week there was a party at a house really close to mine thrown by a couple of the 3Ls (third year students) and it was a good time, but when the alcohol ran out everyone went to the big bar here called Mollys. While i was there i met a girl named meegan, shes a 3L and we just hit it off. Shes really very cool and introduced me to everyone, was telling me all sorts of stuff about school, and got my number and said i should go out with them and stuff. I was all about it, but i figured she was drunk and wouldnt remember, i was drunk too (she bought us like 4 shots of jaeger in addition to whatever else we were drinking). But then friday i went out again, and it was awesome. Meeting her has been the best thing to happen to me so far, shes the hookup in like every way. People that are pretty influential in terms of students and organizations know my name already while theyre still barely recognizing other 3Ls. Its been amazing how helpful she is. Been to a few other get togethers this week which have been fun with that crew.
Speaking of this week, first week of actual classes went well. Finally met a few people in my classes, i had only known one name of a girl named erin (who ill speak of later), but figured she wouldnt remember me and sat on near the back, but the guy next to me was pretty cool. My professors rock. I have the one kuo that i mentioned last time, but the rest are cool too. Schneider is crazy, he grills everyone mercilessly and tells us how stupid we are and all this, but while he does it hes smiling, and after he tells yout hat you obviously have no idea what youre talking about he winks and goes on to someone else, its funny, i like him. Taylor looks like mark twain, and hes just very laid back and funny. The last one, reynolds, seems like hes drunk all of the time, so of course he rocks. The workload hasnt been too bad so far, its gonna get worse im told, but for now im enjoying myself.
Tonight was perhaps one of the best nights so far. The same people were throwing a luau party at there house. By the way, this is a law fraternity that im joining that these guys belong to that were trhowing the party, but it was for everyone. So my friend John came over around 3 and we went out to find hawaiin shirts to wear, found some for real cheap. Then we just chilled and ordered pizza.
Went to the party and was just chillin with some people i knew then with meegan for a while, then started talking to erin, who is in my section, and it turns out shes really cool as well, and we just all had a blast. I drank a lot, too much probably, free alchohol does that to a boy, but i saw like everyone that ive met here that really rocks. Even the professors come to the parties, its an experience.
So obviously theres a lot more stories, just figured id drop a blog and let everyone know how awesome im doing up here. Hope everyones doing well moving into their new places, finding jobs, and starting classes. Talk to everyone soon.
