Okay, so apparently when I posted the other day, I didnt really. Fuck you too, Blogger. Anyway, I had typed out this massive thing about how awesome things here are, a couple stories, how much i miss everyone, yadda yadda yadda. Theres some of my life i wont get back.
Like I said, things here are good. A lot of my classes have picked up, and time is flying. Its also made me realize how bad ive been at keeping in touch, I just havnt been noticing that like a month has gone by. Its kind of a trip.
Lets see, what have i been up to...
Kill Hannah was incredible, just fucking amazing, no other way to put it. Go and get their cd. Before you finish reading this. See, if youre still reading this, and you dont have the cd, then youre not listening to me!
Rob and his girlfriend came, and htat was fun, him me and our girls went into Chicago, ate a lot, went to the aquarium, some fish, etc. Drank a little bit. A good time, good to see one of my buddies as well. Plus i liked being able to show my apartment to someone that i knew, made me feel all special.
Was watching the Cubs, then watched em choke, that was pretty hard. Then I was still going for Boston, but no. So its either the Marlins, and nobody cares about the Marlins, or the Yankess, who always win anyway, so its nothing special. Kind of dissapointing. Still have the Huskies though!
My parents were up this weekend, and we went to our homecoming game, which was awesome. Our best reciever and 4 of our starting defense guys were injured, so people were saying we'd lose our undefeated status, oh how wrong they were. It was just a fun game to watch, a lot of big hits, good football stuff. Now, since we're doing so well (as well as some other teams in the MAC), ESPN will be showing a regular season MAC game for the first time in history. Kind of exciting. I must be good luck, im at IU, we do awesome, i get to NIU, we do awesome...i shouldve went to the damn cubs game.
It was nice to see my parents, and now Im going to be getting a cat here sometime soon. Im not really allowed to have one here, but oh well, the guy two floors below me does. And if he jumped off a bridge i think i would too.
Speaking of neighbors, went with lacey and her friend gini to a haunted corn maze this week, and that was pretty fun. There was this incredibly annoying group of kids that were following us around and just being those like 6 th grade boys that make you wish some terrible disease would kill millions. We scared em once, sneaking up on em, but the highlight came later when this guy with a chainsaw comes flying out, and these kids flew like three feet sideways into the corn, screaming, one started crying, they had been so busy yelling stuff at us that he caught em completely off guard, it was fantastic.
There was a big party for my FRAT. Yeah thats right, my frat. Got something to say? Huh? Say it to my face. Anyway, it was great, a good time all around. The guys who own the place are ridiculously nice, served eggs (kegs and eggs) at 2 am, it was awesome. I had went with john and erin, it was fun.
Things are still going really well with erin. I met her dad and brother two weeks ago, and then she met mine this past weekend, and everyone got along splendidly. Her dad took me out to dinner TWICE and to TWO movies.
Speaking of movies, i feel like ive been seeing a lot. Kill Bill was pretty good, the Rundown was just eh, Intolerable Cruelty was really good, and i enjoyed Underworld. I still need to see School of Rock and lost in translation, to say nothing of Revolutions, Master and Commander, and RoTK. Lot of movies to watch. Oh, and lets not forget House of the Dead, . By the way, should you learn of a zombie invasion of any kind, its pretty much been decided that you should contact me or jeff, we'll take care of it.
Im getting better at this cooking stuff, no major disasters in a while. Im getting pretty good at spaghetti. Shut up, for me its an accomplishment.
Im sure theres other stuff that i had written, but i cant really remember. Seems like everyones still tearin it up, if i havnt talked to you recently, i plan on it sometime soon, like i said ive been busy, but at least now i know im being a bastard, and hopefully that wont last very long. However, its been a long weekend, and right now i need some serious sleep before yet another week starts.
